Youth put on spooky festivities

WINDSOR – There will be ghosts, goblins and ghastly games at Bridgeview Park in Windsor this weekend.

The St. John, Taylor and Benson Kids Alliance Youth Councils will be hosting their fifth annual Falloween Festival at the park on Saturday, October 22 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

“One of the great things about this event is that it is put on for the kids and by the kids,” explained Sabrina LaTona, Kids Alliance facilitator. “The kids have really worked hard organizing this event and we are sure it will be a great afternoon for everyone who comes out.”

Activities will include a costume contest, pumpkin coloring, games, prizes, food and a haunted house. All are welcome to attend. Bridgeview is located at 1899 Grove.

Kids Alliance is a program of the Teen Health Centre. The program is a youth-directed initiative where students form youth councils and organize events such as beautifying neighborhoods, safety seminars and fun, community projects such as this weekend’s Falloween.
