Teen Health Centre announces contest winners
WINDSOR – The Teen Health Centre (THC) officially announced the winners of its first ever bookmark redesign contest at a press conference held at Windsor Crossing Premium Outlets on Tuesday. The bookmark redesign contest was an event of the second annual RBC Teen Health Month. “We are excited to announce the winners of the contest and to begin using their artwork in Teen Health Centre publications,” said Sheila Gordon, Executive Director. “We are thrilled to continue to find new ways to involve youth in our local community.”
The winning entry for the age 12-17 category is Felicia Patterson from St. Joseph’s High School. Jessica Pistor of the University of Windsor Department of Music submitted the winning entry for the age 18-24 category. The winning entries, as well as all submissions, may be viewed on our website at www.teenhealthcentre.com.
RBC Teen Health Month is held throughout October in Windsor and Essex County. The month-long awareness campaign is aimed at providing information on youth and youth-centered causes for the local community.
Additional support for Teen Health Month came from Clarica, The Electromac Group, The Windsor Star, AM800, Windsor Parent magazine, McNeilly Financial Group, Posteroptics, Windsor Crossing Premium Outlets, Staples, The Body Shop, and Sobey’s.
Established in 1986, the THC currently serves over 17,000 active clients. It offers over 40 programs and services and operates over 13 satellite and point of access sites throughout Windsor-Essex County, in addition to the main site.
