 Youth put on winter fest

WINDSOR – There will be food, prizes, games, and visits from the Windsor Spitfires at Bridgeview Park in Windsor on Wednesday.

The H.D. Taylor Kids Alliance Youth Council will be hosting their first ever Winter Fest event at the park on Wednesday, February 22, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with visits from the Windsor Spitfires beginning at 7p.m.

“The Taylor Youth Council has worked hard to organize a fun event for their community during the winter season,” remarks Sabrina LaTona, Kids Alliance facilitator. “The youth council members are very excited to welcome members of the Windsor Spitfires hockey team to join the event.”

Activities will include a road-hockey contest, obstacle course, and games. All are welcome to attend. Bridgeview is located at 1899 Grove.

Kids Alliance is a program of the Teen Health Centre. The program is a youth-directed initiative where students form youth councils and organize events ranging from neighbourhood beautification to safety seminars to community projects such as this week’s winter fest.
