Remember – abstinence is the only 100% method of preventing pregnancy. However, if you choose to be sexually active, there are other effective methods you could use.
There are many birth control methods available today. When you’re considering starting to use birth control, ask yourself what’s most important to you:
- Is it something I need to remember to take everyday?
- How effective is it?
- Does it suit my lifestyle?
- How easy and convenient is it to use?
You may want to link to the birth control quiz – but consider discussing your final choice with a nurse or doctor to get their perspective and to make sure it’s the best possible choice for you. You can contact a clinic of your choice, your own family doctor, or you could call the Teen Health Centre (519)253-8481 extension 223.
