The Teen Health Centre has been funded by Health Canada to educate and develop programs relating to Hepatitis C in Windsor – Essex County.
GOALS: To improve the quality of life of people who are suffering from Hepatitis C. To increase education, prevention and understanding of Hep C.
PROGRAMS:
HIP 2 HEP

To increase knowledge of Hep C to youth

To increase understanding of coping skills, healthy choices, and feelings

To create a youth-for-youth promotional campaign
OUTREACH

Increase knowledge of Hep C and its effects.

Increase knowledge of community resources and literature

Education on prevention, treatment, interventions and harm reduction
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

Increase knowledge of treatments, prevention and counseling interventions plus harm reduction

Recognizing the similarities between Hep C and early recovery
-
Understanding the Phases of Hepatitis C

Stigma and Hepatitis C
